Online property auctions are gaining momentum, offering bidders the ability to bid over a longer period of time from remote locations. With travel restrictions now in place, the option to bid online widens an otherwise shrinking potential audience.

The auction itself attracted several registered bidders, 6 of whom bid energetically throughout the auction, achieving reserve within the first 24 hours. Tuesday’s sale of a 1 bedroom apartment in Sydney’s northern beaches suburb Fairlight engaged bidders over a 2 day period with a starting bid of $780k and final sale of $853k, $13k above reserve. It is one of 800 properties SoldOnline has successfully listed on their online property auction platform to date.
